ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR B.TECH & BCA 1 st SEM STUDENTS
An Orientation Programme was organized for the B.Tech & BCA 1 st Sem students on 16th August 2018 so as to help them start their career pilgrimage in an equitable manner and on the right path. The programme was started with the ceremonial lightening of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, in presence of Director, Prof.(Dr.) S.S.Tyagi, Dean-Humanities & Applied Science, Prof. Surinder Raina, all distinguished HoD’s, faculty members and newly admitted students. In the inception of the program, the institute’s theme video was displayed making students feel proud to be associated with BSAITM.
Dean-Humanities & Applied Sciences, Prof. Surinder Raina in his inaugural speech extended a warm welcome to the new entrants and highlighted the salient features and milestones, the institute has achieved with the constant pursuance of excellence. In his speech, he also threw a light on the rules & regulations with special reference to the services and facilities available in the institute.
Thereafter honorable Director Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Tyagi was invited on the dais. He wholeheartedly congratulated all the freshers for choosing BSAITM as a platform to shape their career dreams. He also assured them of full-fledged cooperation at every step of their academic stay at the campus. He shared his vast experience and advised the students to be dedicated, committed and focused so as to carve out a niche for themselves.
Followed by the speech of honorable Director Prof (Dr) S.S.Tyagi, a motivational session was organized with the purpose to make students aware of the changes which are going to occur after entering the college life. Thereafter Mr. Areeb Khan – CEO, DreamUny Education Private Limited was invited to speak about the significant features of STEP-the Student Transformation Enhancement Program, an extraordinary programme designed by the experts with the aim to let the students imbibe technical knowledge as well as prepare them for the employment in their respective domains.
There was also a session by Ms. Anita Bhalla, Head-Training & Placement Cell who elaborated main functions of the cell. She enumerated that T & P cell organizes various industrial visits, invite experts for the career lectures as well as prepare the students for the numerous campus drives. She also highlighted various placement partners of the institute where the pass out students are successfully employed and are pursuing their career goals. In the last part of the program, the students were taken for the campus visit so that they feel comfortable during their stay at the campus in the times to come. The programme was ended by creating a significant impact on the students and motivating them to achieve greater heights.
